BOM have a warning out for damaging winds. Severe Weather Warning for DAMAGING WINDS For people in South East and parts of Western Forecast Districts. Issued at 4:22 pm Saturday, 21 September 2019. POSSIBLE DAMAGING WINDS TONIGHT IN THE WEST AND SOUTH Weather Situation: A low pressure centre to the west of Tasmania is forecast to move close to the south of the state and intensify this evening. DAMAGING WESTERLY WINDS, averaging 60 to 70 km/h with peak gusts of 90 to 100 km/h are possible along the west coast early this evening, then about the south later this evening. Wind gusts south of Geeveston may possibly reach 100 to 110 km/h late this evening. Winds are expected to ease below warning thresholds shortly after midnight as the low moves away to the southeast.
