I had a look on Facebook about Cyclone Alfred this morning and see the scaremongering on BOM radar fan club..

One "Weather inflencer" thats doing regular up scary dates is "Tims severe weather" (a couple of weeks back he was warning that the cyclone there was going to be one of the worst on record and would be "catastrophic for WA" and I'm sure he is just a kid posting [censored]from his mothers basement...

another is Cyclonesoz who in his last post is warning all residents in SEQ to "board up their windows".....

fair dinkum ..the number of people that take these clowns seriously is just amazing...

That said it sure is an interesting system though...i thought the odds of a named cyclone hitting Brissie was very slim indeed but we wait and see..regardless of wind intensity I think its already making a mess of the beaches down there..
