Well the waiting for Alfred's arrival is nearly over. At the moment the cyclone is 85km east of Brisbane and is traveling west northwest at 7 km/hour.
This is the Doppler Wind Radar image from 8.34pm this evening:
We have battened down the hatches and are just waiting while listening to the wind picking up strength.
