I have a bit of an eye open for next Thursday. It is still a few days out so things change quickly. It could easily go either way and once again it doesn’t look that impressive on the models.

The main areas that caught me was the good old faithful 4 day chart. It shows a cool change\ridge moving through on Thursday afternoon/ evening. It is an extremely hot day so it will be dry regarding moisture in the lower levels of the atmosphere.

But the sounding is not too bad if a few tweaks were to happen. TT’s of 51 could hint at some severe cells in some areas.

It is a long way out as I said before, and usually I wouldn’t post this far out, but it is worth the exercise as it really has been a slow start to the storm season and it highlights the affect that the SSW over the Antarctic has had on our weather pattern /drivers.

Below is the faithful 4 day chart, the Sounding for Brisbane and also the Cape values on Stormcast, these maps are usually bursting full of colour and paint a different picture.

It is wait and see and it may not eventuate at all.
