102mm here..Just nice steady rain...and light rain today...

Well that genny should be plenty to run an entire house if you need it too SM..Do you have a socket to hardwire into the house..?

We dont as I found that using a 6.5 for a month or so after yasi was overkill and used tonnes of fuel..

It sure did the job and was a lifesaver though now with the 2.2 honda its enough to run our fridge and freezer and general household stuff(corded fans and lights) in an emergency but would be too small to hardwire in(and not having air-con makes our energy needs way less)..I also wanted the smaller genney as I can just carry it easily around the property for using power tools and what-not as well as on the boat for camping if needed..its a compromise from the previous larger genny that will run everything and also a welder if needed but the 2.2 runs so quiet and fuel efficiently ...

Bunyip I almost bought a Cz shadow but the Canik took my fancy as most of the reviews basically described it as "the best bang for buck" for a competition race gun...

and you can easily spend 5 to 10K on an IPSC setup which I wasnt prepared to spend given I dont even know how my carpel tunnel will deal with up to 150 rounds in a club match and double

or more in a regional match..

I went out to the range yesterday and had a play around and wow its got a fantastic trigger and the weight makes it very flat shooting and quick to return after recoil...

and yeah the missus is sorting out here citizenship now so we can get her a licence and I will also put in for Primary producer on my licence..weapons branch said I may be restricted to rimfire and shotgun (cat A) on that though as we only have 15 acres..will see how it goes..Did you ever join a club or start the cat H process...it might be worth it as if you can still keep the cat h without having any obligation to do any participatipation requirements if you dont have a gun registered in your name(my son has done this and any handguns he wants will just be in my name as he wants to do a bit of travelling next year)..but its actually the best thing I have done ..I didnt realise how much fun these club shoots actually are...

Whats going on up there..did the missus come home for xmas..?..and yeah the airport is PITA for parking...I also try the scout and stealth parking method after trying to sneak out of the paid parking behind another car one time and getting donged on the roof by the barrier...lol..
