Well that was a wild past 18 hrs..My son had to leave around 4pm yesterday arvo as our creek was rising fast, then we got another close lightning strike which blew out the phone but nothing else...very lucky..I heard it blow moments before the simultaneous lightning and thunder..How does it work that its actually blown BEFORE the arrival of the electrical energy..?

Anyway the line itself is still kinda working...I didnt put out a measuring device till after 8pm which recorded around 100mm but there was likely another 100 or more in the 5 hours previous...and the usual low lying flooding around Tully Mission beach area this morning and a 4m croc spotted just a couple of Km's out of Tully on the flooded Mission beach road which isnt tidal..

and Cowley beach again with 272mm ..

This is the road going to the range out at Kurrimine 2 weeks back after Cowley/Kurrimine got those back to back 300 plus totals.although its very sandy black soil it just doesnt drain well because its also pretty swampy with a high water table..it also sets like concrete when it dries out..

SM, i try and avoid Bacon as i can virtually feel it on my waistline an hour later unfortunately...lol..Damn this aging metabolism...
