Nothing to report here..its quite workable outdoors with just random showers...

Might pick up a bit later with showers on an easterly flow showing up on the radar on their way..

Narelle made landfall as a Cat 4 and thankfully it seems the high wind area radius was not huge...except of course in the Media and Facebook where its constantly labelled a "Monster storm", catasphophic and Doom have also been mentioned as well as the most powerfall storm to hit QLD since Cyclone Mahina in 1899...

Still a high end Cat 4 is nothing to sneeze at and no doubt there will be extensive damage to homes, sheds and of course the scrub up there around Coen...I hate the damage these high end cyclones do to the vegetation and critters..its just horrible...sure would have done a number if she had of been pointed at Cairns though..!!..The wind measuring equiptment near Coen failed early on apparently so I guess we will wait to see what the analysis says about the storm...as 28 keeps posting pics she sure looked pretty on those sat pics..

SST's are still 28c plus north of Townsville so still plenty of time left if the other conditions present for us to get a spinner this season...nights are cooling down nicely though so hopefully change of season is just around the corner..I'm over this wet season already..

Nice to hear Daintree escaped anything major..I'm sure you guys up there are also over this wet season too..!
