I remember Ita , I was almost squashed by a big tea tree log when we were clearing our way out..
She made a bloody big mess.

Scott: Yeah there was a fair bit of traffic waiting at 05:00 and some fairly unhappy about the delay.
It seems AMSA have put conditions on when they can run due to flood heights.
Not 100% sure but because the drive rope is now connected to a 3t anchor buried about 20m up the road
it seems they are concerned that may not be enough to operate in high flow conditions..
They say this has cost us $1.8m all because 2 things happened that were totally avoidable.
1, commercial vessels left moored on the public pontoon. (the go fund me money should be paid to fix that not his boat)
2, failure of the ferry master to moor the ferry to it's flood piles.


Anyway just 9 mm in the gauge here this morning.

Oh and what brain dead public servant scheduled routine maintenance for the radar in April ?
