Nice couple of days up here, still a bit blowy but no rain so that is nice.
It's nice to see stars again at night :)

Scott, I started with a cheep small duelling tree and a couple of sets of swingers, the first lot of swingers blew
apart after a good arvo session, so I ordered another tree and got a replacement swinger, but it was all just chink
crapola, I cut up the tree's and made 1 with 6 targets it's so much better than 4..
The swingers are down the shed, bent and in need of work but not sure it's worth my effort :)

The star I made was to small, the arms are only about 300mm with 100mm falling targets, it wouldn't spin freely.
I feel the arms need to be at least 500mm.. It's a project that needs revisiting..
Try to find some old gal angle from ergon towers or the like, it's not your regular sizes and has very heavy gal
only need to clean up the spots you weld the pipe on in the "V"..

The STS targets seem pretty good and ok on price, but I have a heap of s[censored]so just shoot that and don't worry
about holes or craters.

I downloaded and printed the right size targets for a set of rimfire MS and was cutting them out of plough disks
with a plasma cutter, haven't got a full set yet, another project that needs revisiting and finishing. But the
first few I made up work and seem to hold up.
What I should do is make up the 4 templates to cut them out , as I was just free hand on a chalk tracing and some
are a bit rough, what with rusty old disks ect, a bit more time cleaning them up and a template would make it easy.

Lots of fun all round. The duelling tree is great with a couple of leaver action .22's and if your both hitting
them it's fast fun action. Gets harder with the bolt actions, being portable it's easy to take it out a bit further
if everyone is hitting it..

Cheers
