Ended up with a maximum temperature of 40.3 C exceeding the previous record high at my location of 39.6 C. The temperature was stubbornly stable at 40 C for 3 hours this afternoon before falling and is still quite warm at 33 C. The very low dew point was stable for much of the afternoon and is currently slowly falling at -28 C. Relative humidity has been stuck at 1% since 1pm, but now it is 2%. Light to moderate W to NW winds has continued though easing from later in the afternoon. Some N to NW winds also and even less of N to NE winds.
