There has been a lot of damage from this afternoons storms. Just heard that the Toombul Shopping centres roof collapsed during the storm, probably due to the weight of the hail. Lots of flash flooding writing off a lot of cars along with very large hail in some areas causing damage to cars etc. I am waiting for the news to flow through.


There seemed to be a longer than usual delay on the Mt Stappy radar while it is undergoing maintenance. I phoned my wife and was telling her she was going to get hit within the next 20 minutes, she looked at the radar and agreed but then looked out the window and it was already hammering down in town.

Tomorrow looks like another possible day for storms with large hail, heavy rain and strong winds again if everything falls into place.
