Nice picture Greg. Looks awesome especially after the long dry winter,Spring and summer. The skies were really dark this morning from Chermside to Bracken Ridge to the West. Had some rumbles around 10:00 am. They were really picturesque and low lying up here, had a an eerie ominous look to them. Just sitting under the 300 mm mark so far for this event. If the low/ cyclone out near New Caledonia ( Invest 91P) does move to the Southwest I think we could be in a strife or trouble. Issued at 3:33 pm Sunday, 9 February 2020. Weather Situation: The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 3:30 pm, severe thunderstorms were detected on the weather radar near the area west of Esk and the area northwest of Esk. These thunderstorms are moving towards the east. They are forecast to affect Esk and Toogoolawah by 4:00 pm and the area south of Esk and northern Lake Wivenhoe by 4:30 pm. Heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding is likely.
