Tropical Cyclone Outlook for Coral Sea
Issued at 2:30 pm EST on Monday 9 March 2020
for the period until midnight EST Thursday 12 March 2020.

Existing Cyclones in the Eastern Region:
Nil.

Potential Cyclones:

There currently are no significant tropical lows in the Coral Sea. Tropical activity is expected to increase this week, with a tropical low developing in the northern Coral Sea as early as Wednesday. This low is expected to develop further, with an increasing chance of forming into a tropical cyclone late in the week.

At this stage, the system is most likely to move to the southeast while remaining off of the Queensland coast.

Wednesday:Very low
Thursday:Moderate
