Meanwhile, the weather continues, regardless of pandemics & politics.

Dunno whether derechos are worse than cyclones or not. They can travel for hundreds of kms,just a heck of a lot faster.

In the US.

These things fascinate me as much as cyclones. Only heard of them in the last year or so, due to a novel set in the very North of Minnesota. Apparently the (real) storm in the story travelled across several states then back east across Canada & right out over the ocean before subsiding.
