Wind..?..did someone mention wind..? Its been a shocker hasnt it..these danged highs ripping across with little reprieve in between .. We had some young wwoofers stay last month for 2 weeks.. I had arranged that we would get some work done around the property and then the next week before the full moon when the tides suited we would head down to Macushla at Hinchinbrook island to camp for a few days, spot some crocs, catch some mud crabs and barra and do a little hiking... It had been dry for 29 consecutive days and started raining the very day they arrived and during the next 2 weeks we only had one dry day and no days that were suitable for offshore boating or camping..I did manage to get them down the river on the only good day and spot 3 crocs and get some video... They left a day early even though I told them it looked like we would likely get a break in the weather in the next couple of days.. They were skeptical and a bit disappointed... It did come good for a day the very next day. so me and the missus spent an awesome day out the reef and would have stayed overnight if we had known it was going to be so damn good... https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100006371794108The tropical weather can be just so fickle this time of year..to get out on the water you just need patience and to be ready to roll when that nice day does come..or wait till october/november when the tradewinds die off.. Hey bunyip whats the deal.. you sold up and moved..?
