Notes of yesterday weather - 9/12/21: Sunny becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon with Cu and Sc clouds before increasing Ci, Ac and Cb clouds from the late afternoon. A very lightning active severe thunderstorm in the early evening accompanied with pea sized hail. There were three peaks in the rainfall intensity and the rainfall was most intense when there was 31 mm in the first 25 minutes of the storm with rainfall rate peaking at a record high of 303.2 mm/hr (very briefly) when 14.6 mm occurred in 5 minutes. Also at the start of the storm was 12 mm in 9 minutes peaking at 138.8 mm/hr at 7:01 pm and 3 mm in 2 minutes peaking at 213.4 mm/hr at 7:15pm. Another thunderstorm to the west moved to continue the thunderstorm but with mostly moderate falls. Light rain followed before another thunderstorm with further heavy falls. The rainfall at its peak saw 9 mm in 9 minutes before light to moderate thundery rain during the rest of the evening before the thunder dissipated late in the evening. Temperature was near average that was mostly stable during the early hours before rising from the early morning, then slightly warm in the mid to late morning while rising to the maximum temperature in the early afternoon. The temperature then dropped back to near average in the afternoon while generally falling and temporarily became slightly warm in the late afternoon. The temperature fell quickly with the first thunderstorm (falling 5 C in 10 minutes) becoming slightly cool before generally stable temperature during the rest of the evening close to average. Dew point was close to average that was generally stable before rising slowly from the early morning before becoming slightly above average from later in the morning and to moderately high from the mid afternoon while generally rising until the mid afternoon. Later in the afternoon the dew point fell slowly, before falling sharply with the evening thunderstorm becoming close to average and became stable afterwards during the rest of the evening. Near average relative humidity was stable in the early hours, before falling from the early morning that was slightly below average and eased back to near average during the morning. Relative humidity was near average from the mid morning while falling before rising from the early afternoon which became slightly above average in the early afternoon, moderately high from the morning and eased to slightly above average early in the evening. While rising with the evening thunderstorm the relative humidity became moderately high before falling slowly afterwards that eased to slightly above average and to near average late in the evening. Mostly calm winds from early with some WSW to S winds at times during the early hours and some SSW to SW winds this morning. Mostly calm winds tended N to WNW later in the morning and light N to NE in the afternoon and early in the evening with some E to NE winds. Winds veered before the evening thunderstorm to moderate N to NW during the start of the thunderstorm, then SSW to ESE during the thunderstorm before NW to NE winds afterwards.
Today: Light rain at the very start of the day cleared with some light rain at times during the early hours. Near average temperature was generally stable from early before rising from early this morning. Dew point have also been stable and close to average before rising from the early morning and became slightly above average. Relative humidity have been near saturation from early close to average and then started to fall from the mid morning slightly above average. Light N to NW winds with some WSW to NW winds in the early hours, tending W to NW later in the early hours and early this morning with calm winds at times from early. Since the mid morning the wind have tended to W to SW.
