Notes of yesterday weather - 23/12/21: Partly cloudy with Cu and Sc clouds with Ci, Ac and Cb clouds in the afternoon. Mid afternoon severe localised thunderstorm with fierce electrical activity and heavy to intense rainfall. 41 mm occurred in 25 minutes, peaking at 25 mm in 10 minutes (maximum rain rate of 240 mm/hr). The temperature stopped falling in the second half of the early hours and became stable that was near average from early. In the early morning the temperature became warm before easing to slightly warm during the morning while rising easing to near average from the late morning as the temperature generally rose before the maximum temperature was reached in the middle of the day. In the afternoon the temperature fell becoming slightly cool before falling quickly before and with the thunderstorm that fell 5 C in 30 minutes to 21 C becoming cold. The temperature rose quickly after the storm of 4 C in 1 hour and fell slowly during the rest of the afternoon easing to near average in the late afternoon. In the evening the temperature was slightly warm while falling slowly. Dew point was near average from early that was stable before rising early in the morning before rising slowly in the morning and afternoon that was slightly above average, then fell with the thunderstorm while easing to near average before rising after the storm and became moderately high. Dew point remained moderately high that fell slowly during the rest of the afternoon and during the evening. Relative humidity rose slowly before stabilising later in the early hours that was near average becoming slightly below average later in the early hours. Relative humidity fell in the early morning, slightly below average becoming moderately low before easing to near average during the morning while falling less quickly. Relative humidity then rose in the afternoon and especially with the thunderstorm that became slightly above average in the early afternoon, quickly to very high in the mid afternoon and eased to high later in the afternoon as the relative humidity fell slightly. During the evening the relative humidity rose slowly easing to slightly above average. Mostly calm winds early, then mostly S to SW winds in the early morning, briefly became E to ENE during the morning, followed by SE to SW or NE to SE winds with some variable winds. Winds tended NNE to E from the middle of the day that was N to NNW or SSE to E with the thunderstorm. Light E to NE winds from early in the evening before mostly calm winds later in the evening with some variable winds.
Today: A heavy shower in the early morning with a peak rainfall rate of 76.2 mm/hr. The temperature was stable in the early hours that was warm before rising slowly from the early morning while easing to near average and rose more quickly during this morning. Dew point was stable in the early hours before rising slowly from early in the morning that have been moderately high. Relative humidity was near average that was stable in the early hours and early morning before falling slowly during this morning while becoming moderately high. Some light SSW to SW winds early in the day and otherwise calm winds in the early hours, then light WSW to SSW winds in the early morning tending SSW to SSE before SSE to ESE and then W to SW or S to SW winds later this morning.
