I watched that heavy rain band that hit here move to the west, wondering if it would make Chillagoe.
Most of the yellow colour went just around Mareeba, then as it approached you it split into two,-the better rain went north of you, a some lighter stuff went south. About 03:00 some drizzle went over Chillagoe. Maybe the terrain around there splits them up.
It did cool thing down a bit, though.
