As for the boys in the bureau, I think it's the cumulative funding cuts that are the problem. We're lucky they're there at all. At the rate we're going we'll be lucky to have much left in 5-8 years time. Then again, I'm not a farmer or fisher or in a business reliant on the BOM.

You notice the cuts with the ABC, not as polished as they used to be. And apparently 000 in South Australia is struggling, which is literally a disaster.


Its certainly frustrating that a day or 2 ago the forecasts were for relatively fine weather for the next 7-10 day window, so i get a couple of backpackers in yesterday for a fortnight of post wet season cleanup work then I look at the forecast again and its all showers ahead including days of heavy showers next week and a couple of planned fishing trips for later on next week look to be off now with the wind predictions increased...

Bloody BOM and ABC needs something done and i dont just think its about money..
