Yesterday was quite a fine day with just a few light showers overnight...

After a few weeks of correspondance with both the BOM and the Cassowary coast council we still dont have working official BOM rain gauges in Tully or at the nearby Bulgun....

But, after I finally threatened to call in Elon Musk to look into the problem (LOL), I have been assured by BOM yesterday that council have finally admitted its their responibility and they "have dispatched technicians to investigate the outages"...

Scott I have noticed that Tully alert and bulgun has been missing for a while and only the Tully sugar mill updates every few days or so. Good to see you get onto this as I’m sure there are lots of people around who like to see what Tully gets considering it’s reputation.

I might have to get onto the bureau again under a different name and hassle them about my various concerns for our area up here.

Had 55mm here overnight just continues to rain 1363mm for the year. I’ve already lost a 7ft abiu tree to wet feet the other day and some of my other trees are looking under immense stress from continual rain and heavy clay soil.

Forecast 7 days of rain, I’ve never wanted 7 days of sunshine so bad in my life
