Notes of yesterday weather - 12/8/23: Mostly sunny with some Cu clouds. Smoke haze. Poor to very poor air quality from late in the early hours before easing during the morning peaking at 50 micrograms per cubic metre. The temperature fell from the start of the day, close to average, before rising from early morning, becoming warm from late in the morning. From the mid afternoon the temperature fell, but was a little variable in the afternoon. From later in the afternoon the temperature fell more steadily, slightly warm and to warm in the evening. From the middle of the evening the temperature fell slowly. Dew point was generally stable in the early hours, close to average, rose slowly from late in the early hours, before rising more quickly from early morning, slightly above average. From the mid morning the dew point generally fell, close to average, before generally rising from the mid afternoon, moderately high. From early in the evening the dew point fell slowly, slightly above average. Relative humidity rose slowly from the start of the day, slightly below average, before falling during the morning, close to average. From early in the afternoon the relative humidity rose, became slightly above average in the mid afternoon, before rising less quickly in the evening, close to average. Mostly calm winds from early. Light NW to ENE winds late in the morning, tending to SSW to W in the early afternoon and backing during the afternoon to N to NE or E to NE in the mid to late afternoon. From early in the evening the wind was mostly calm.
