Midnight. Mostly quiet and still. But then a lovely fresh breeze will spring up for a short while. Still no rain. No stars, strange that...
Checking JTWC Warning 31 updated around midnight, the crossing looks like it might be closer to Cooktown???
Looking at DEA Hotspots, there's still fires surrounding Chillagoe. Two and three days old, so the smoke has settled. There's still fires all over the place.
