It must be starting to get a bit squally for our Daintree folks..hope it moves through quickly and doesnt mess the place up to bad...edit..BOM has it moving at 7km/h...man what a pain that is...!

Is there much wind in cairns or just squally rainbands..?

We have had 82mm so far from this event from succesive rainbands..I see Boulders has over 200mm...

and looking at the radar..Jasper is dragging a lot of moisture along behind it even way out past Willis island so it looks to be a pretty wet time ahead for everyone north of Innisfail or so..

I'd say you are in line for some good falls overnight too, 28...
