Thanks for the update Tropo...I guess as you guys are in the southern eyewall you are getting the strongest winds and most rain..When you own an acreage it doesnt really matter if its a cat 2 or a cat 5 if it messes up your trees and gardens then its still very annoying and time consuming to clean up....

Given that its still only moving at 10 km/h its going to be a wild and wooly night ahead for you..dont do as i saw a fella in Cow bay do and stand outside under trees whipping around filming broken tree debris..he will probably be the same bloke that cranks up his genny indoors...BigGrin ...

Yeah Ron it only takes one tree to bring a power line down and blackout a whole area..its already been happening a few times locally and we are only getting pretty innocuous gusts down here in the south....good news is 500 ergon field crew have assembled really to hook in tomorrow and get it restored ASAP before Cairns folks freak right out and spoil their frozen bread and milk........

Hard to believe anyone living up here wouldnt have a little genny anyway..

Guess it doesnt really affect the residents north of the Daintree river though does it..?...

Meanwhile its getting hairy in Kans...
