G'day all :)
Well that was an interesting blow. Slow moving sucker meant for a long night.
The worst of it was around 21:30 to 01:00 and then it seemed to relax a bit so I went to bed.
I've got 12v flood lights so could watch the gardens get destroyed :)
I had 454mm but despite emptying the gauge it was full just before light.
Lots of trees down, the locals have done an amazing job and got our roads open
now it's just all the work around our yards.
A further 217mm this morning and still raining hard at times and just steady the rest.

Someone mentioned power, I have power on the north side of the river, there are 16 properties
with grid power in my area. We lost power at 12:13 on 13/12 Wednesday. There are multiple trees
on the lines over here and with the ferry out and no sign of the rain ending I don't expect it
before the middle of next week.
My genny has 2 deep freezers, 2 fridges and 3 engles running on it, + charging 12v system cause no sun.

Pot belly stove is burning , life is good :) Why would you want to live anywhere else.

Cheers
