Coming down pretty steady here for the past couple of hours now...the radar looks to be showing it moving south of Daintree finally....hopefully you guys up there get a break tomorrow so you can get stuff cleaned up and Tropo can get back to get his car...12km walk..wow...shame you obviously havent seen that Ad that used to run on the TV...what was it...?...."if its flooded...floor it" or something like that I think..Blink ..Hmmm maybe not..BigGrin..How does the fruit trees look Tropo..?..hope they all survived..

Going to be some big totals between Cairns and Tully by morning I suspect...I also dont think I have ever seen the Gordonvale area get such a drenching...wow..

Glad you are getting some nice rain too 28..what an incredible system this is for December..it feels more like Feb/march..

Looks like the Palmerstone road to the tablelands is closed for a while from landslides and the Bruce highway south of Tully could well be cut toworrow if this rain keeps up all night.

I cant really sleep much when the rain is this intense...hmmm so much [censored]on Netflix too..its barely worth subscribing anymore.

BTW, I reading about some solar/hydrogen schemme that was approved for power in the Daintree a couple of years back..has anything ever become of that..?...it seems kind of weird that conservationists were so against running powerlines through there but are happy with most everyone needing to run dirty diesal generators every day...
