Last few days been getting some nice scattered showers, but overall I think the rain may have eased out here for a while. The mock orange is no longer in bloom, and my back door shuts easily again.

We have been getting heavy rainfall totals from a lot of storms since about the beginning of December. The ground is quite saturated. That storm that you highlighted, hit us last night and there were some big totals in a short period of time. A lot of road closures. Where I live we had 146 mm in 3 hours and still raining as at 4:00 am. About 15 minutes west of us at Samford, they received over 300mm in that short time. Flash flooding across a lot of the area from the Southern Interior, Wide Bay and the South East Corner including Brisbane.
But the heatwave has been terrible especially at night as the feel like temps have stayed in the mid 30°C to low 30° for at least 5 nights now. I have lost count and sleep.
I know it is hot up where you are all from but this is one of the worst heatwaves we have been through. The dew points have been way too high.
Stay safe.
