Living in Sydney, for years I'd hear about wet Wet Seasons in this region. Always wanted to live here. Eventually I was able to, albeit in a drier part. A few months ago, talking to a woman who said she used to keep a second pair of shoes for her kids to wear to school, because they'd be wet every day. My Dad's family lived at Aloomba in the late 1800s early 1900s. In 1921 my grandfather packed everyone up and moved the family to Sydney - they'd been wiped out by cyclones 3 times, and had enough of rebuilding and restarting.

I'd have to go thru my written records Blink , but think it could be close to average, over the period. January and February were both over 400mm.
