25mm the past 2 days but at least its warmed up a bit at night...looks like more of the samwe for at least another week..

The good news is that the 10 day charts show the highs starting to move east a bit later in a weeks time which hopefully starts to indicate that typical winter pattern of highs moving eastward with a bit of a trough in between giving a bit of a break in the wind and showers between the highs....its when the highs remain stationary that causes these endless wind and showers driving us all nuts...I certainly hope this turns out to be the case.

It doesnt look too bad in Cairns in the week ahead SM...they might even get a decent crack at erecting your carport mate...even if they have to use the old trick of putting the screwgun in a plastic bag when doing the roof..

BTW, some of the footage of the crazy tornado season in the USA mid-west is just increbible...
