63 mm here over the past few days..

bunyip i totally understand why you went that way..

To just have a thermal scope and have to constantly have the rifle to your shoulder for scanning sure would be a pain....though still pretty cool that the technology is becoming available to regular hunters if you are willing to pay for it..

Anyway ATM i am just looking at toys to use after realizing that my fishing hobby is so often painfully curtailed by our FNQ weather...

and yep you will have to drop in one day though wait until my Cat h licencing is all sorted out...I have another month of probation before i can even apply for the licencing and then a wait(currently approx 10 weeks) for Weapons branch to approve it and then i can finally get my own handgun rather then the awkwardness of having to hire or borrow ones at the range..

and i have a .17 HMR in the post ATM too which is a calibre i have always wanted to play around with and should fill the gap nicely between my .22 and .22 hornet as centrefire ammo has gotten hellishly expensive.. most shooting I do is at the range so $2-$3 a round for the larger stuff is not much fun for just plinking..Crying

Hope the Bday party went OK...a few light showers here yesterday.

and patches of blue sky here today though the forecast looks to be windy with a few showers in the days ahead..
