Supposed to be a few showers about early in the week down here...hopefully not much though right on cue a shower has started....

Bunyip I only got a range card because its neccessary for the cat H as well as joining a pistol club..and yeah there are some hoops to jump through.

I have to say i really have enjoyed going to the range at Murdering point Kurrimine Beach and set up a couple of rifles on a bench next to the pistol stalls...

That way i can blast off 50-100 rounds of handgun or revolver ammo which doesnt take long if I have 2-3 handguns in front of me with 10 round clips...and then shoot a few longer range targets with the rifles..at this point I have to use the club handgun or ones that belong to whichever range officer is on that weekend..

Heaps of fun and also nice to get to shoot some guns from some of the other enthusiasts with many different weapons...the past couple of times i have had a shot of a 44 mag and 310 cadet as well..

Once I get my rifles dialled in I might do some of the club comps in field position as well as the the practical shooting stuff...

I have all my dads reloading gear there for a few calibres but havent yet set it up and got into it as i havent done much shooting for many years..i havent had anywhere to shoot before so only have used the .22 with subsonic ammo and occasionally shotty for a stray pig on my little place..

With your neighbor being in the club it should be pretty easy to figure out what you need to do to get your licence..best take advantage of it while you can...I doubt it will get any easier in the future, mate..
