On the weather front poor old Florida west coast is copping a beating at the moment..

The new cyclone/hurricane in the mexican gulf is supposed to make landfall in a couple of days.....

It went from tropical storm to cat 5 inside 24 hrs and has already been as low as 897 hPa..(Yasi lowest was 929).

Sustained winds of around 300km/h..gunna make quite a mess if it maintains that intensity on landfall...
