64mm here the past 2 days...

Like a year ago we have a similar trend in localised slow moving/stationary storms and showers producing large totals in some areas where other areas closeby almost miss out...

I left here yesterday in the dry and only got 3 km's up the road and El Arish and the canefields were practically underwater from a storm which had just passed heading north-east..and this morning there is a huge blob between innisfail and cairns with no doubt heavy totals around babinda..wonder if it will fizzle out or stay together and move on to cairns...?

Not a big fan to be honest as Cairns and Daintree found out last year and down Proserpine way a few weeks back, 500+ mm in a day can be just so destructive...Hope you are not right Bunyip and it just turns out to be a passing cycle...

Forecasts for the week ahead after today look pretty dry for the week ahead if that can be beleived..or maybe just in your neck of the woods SM...

Throwing back mangrove jacks Ron...?..Confused ...Doesnt happen on my boat mate...way too tasty for that nonsense...
