Just to get these topics up and running here's a few shots from around tornado alley in the states over the past few years. This was a long-tracked tornado that developed over newly planted farming land to the south of Amarillo, Texas this year. This tornado was on the ground for over an hour and tracked over 25 miles. Vega, TX LP Supercell by Orebound Images, on Flickr Bit of a hazy old day but this was one of several tornadoes from a prolific producer in western Kansas during the 2016 season. We witnessed 6 separate tornadoes on this day.
