If you mean I'm a sceptic then yeah i am..and all that stuff they write in that article about the exceptionanl accuracy when they state that there may be a 30% chance of rain and as SM mentioned about the parameters for totals is just total gibberish..absolute nonsense...! Meanwhile my free and uneducated forecast for today is partly cloudy... Edited by user Thursday, 29 May 2025 1:18:54 PM(UTC)

That's a dry second half of May with just 4.5mm in the last 16 days. Temperatures were pleasant with a 20-33°C range. A beautiful day here today, hardly a cloud to be seen.

24mm in total the past 4 days mostly a light shower or 2 overnight...The days have been pretty nice though here as well.. Tomorrow is looking like a good boating day before the return of the slightly stronger Se winds... One thing thats noticeable with the synoptic charts is that the High pressure systems, so far, dont seem as intense as the previous couple of years ...usually this time of year they are monsters that charge across the continent with little relief between systems... Hopefully that means a less rainy and windy winter with more boating opportunities... and the forecast for us down here yesterday was partly cloudy with slight chance of showers..thats also the forecast for today with the day after that being partly cloudy with a medium chance of showers and then back to partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers.....lucky we have the BOM to keep us informed..... We've now got to 4.5mm of rain in the last 21 days. The good thing is we're already sitting around our annual average of 2250mm.
I miss my boat at this time of year Scott. Great time for spanish mackerel around the islands and reds at the reef. Picking up a gap in the SE seems to be still a problem though.

June: 0mm YTD: 2251mm You know there is an easy way to fix that SM...get a new boat...I'm hoping for a mild tradewind season this year after a some bad ones the past couple.... We got out the front of Dunk island nice and early Tuesday morning and both lures got hit straight up...I backed off the drag and handed my rod over to the french wwoofer we took out, while i gaffed the missus's fish and looked around to see him lay it on the gunnel and before i could tell him to lift it off off course I lost a foot off the tip, the fish and the lure...my bad...he said it was to heavy to hold hence sitting it on the gunnel...Gen Z, man..we are all doomed... So i fed the missus's lure back out about 5m before it got hit again..she got sharked on that one so i chucked another lure on and she landed the next one as well...So 15 minutes in and she had our 2 allowable fish...The whole sounder screen from top to bottom was just lit up with Spanish over a wide area...I have only seen schools that thick a handful of times over the past 20 odd years I fished around here...big joke that they are so overfished... Nippy last night and again tonight but gee the days are pretty niceand make outdoor physical work rather pleasant.....
