Interesting read on the effects of the Stratospheric Polar Vortex that occurred last month.
A rare sudden stratospheric warming has caused the smallest ozone hole on record this year and could now be influencing weather patterns in the southern hemisphere.Link to the article - https://www.weatherzone....k8T8vkVkrVF_bWIx-EqoFIf4 |

Thanks ambient for bringing this information . The AAO has been trending negative since the SSW event began The AAO is currently negative 2(24th Oct2019 and is forecast to dip to minus 3 in the next few days and negative for the rest of October https://www.cpc.ncep.noa..._index/aao/aao.sprd2.gifWe might expect mid latitude troughing to extend further northward for the next week or two? This might be why the incoming trough tomorrow is forecast to peak at 30s near the Tweed border line tomorrow.25th Oct
