I have set up a webcam that I live stream via youtube from our holiday house which overlooks farmland. This was mainly for use to enjoy the view when we couldnt go down last year due to covid.
We got a phone call from the farmer saying he wasnt happy with us doing this, so I moved the camera upwards so that it just shows the horizon and above, which the farmer was happy about.
When I look at other webcams, they show roads, people, farmland, carparks etc.
Just wondering in regards to webcams where do we stand in regards to privacy issues of people/businesses that are shown.

Great topic, thanks for starting it.
I guess it is a sensitive subject for some people and not others. I have a web cam that looksmover the neighbours trees and a tiny bit of yard. I guess technically I should ask for permission.
Was your neighbours farm easily identifiable from the webcam images or could you see a house or vehicles?
