Do you use Brushoff ?? Not sure what it is, Weary. A mate across the road gave me a small coke bottle full of some poison. He has a poisons licence for his job, and gets better stuff than the normal consumer brands. Bright blue in colour,- and 10ml per litre is the mix ratio. After I sprayed, it ended up getting about 8 hours head start before the heavy rain set in,- so I hope to see it all look yellow in 5 or 6 days. It's a gamble this time of year knowing whether to spray, or not to spray. The mob at PowerBall drew the wrong numbers again, too.

The mob at PowerBall drew the wrong numbers again, too. Hopeless aren’t they. I keep asking the newsagent for the winning ticket but they never give it to me.

Hickory, what program/app is it that allows you to display either bom or weatherzone?

I don't even bother switching cookies on to log in,- it's just the visitors page, I think. The Opticast selection can be different than the other two, sometimes. https://www.weatherzone....ast-and-tableland/cairns

Snuck out the reef today, first time in a while, bloody been too busy lately. Got a few nice trout and sharks got a share as well. Bom been holding steady with this forecast for a couple of days, sounds interesting, not especially helpful for work but let see how it goes.
Managed $94 in powerball last week so I told the newsagent that since I'm so rich I'll have a jumbo for this week lol. |
Records for 2022: 1520mm 2023: 2710mm 2024: 951.6mm (no records April-Sept) |

Storm to the east. Wishy washy here. Faint "rain". Too late to stop the nasty tiny biting gnats. Too late to stop the itches without antihistamines, damn.

In this mornings forecast, the BoM are still sticking to their guns, and still going for 150mm - 250mm on Wed. Looking at the pressure systems, we should have NE winds today,- E tomorrow & SE on wednesday. Pretty much onshore flow. WZ, and some others are far more pessimistic. But until wednesday comes and proves them wrong,- who knows ?? Maybe when the change of shift bundy on this morning, they may take stock of things, and change it all.

65mm last night
Sleeping with the sound of heavy rain on the roof is a rare thing for us. Three to four hour, at least.
Hickory, I remember bundying on & off in a couple jobs, last one might've been late 70s.
