Just had an interesting xmas morning.. 170mm in about 3 hrs...seemed to be sitting right on top of us on the radar..some pretty hectic flash flooding..and our boy cant get out over the creek to visit the girlfriend... cleared off to the north for now and seems to be between Innisfail and Cairns...some very heavy stationary showers in it.. Thanks santa.!.. Edited by user Sunday, 25 December 2022 12:10:46 PM(UTC)

G'day Sheridan Mist, yes please join in with a bit of Southside weather news and events.
Hey 28 that is a nice fall & Chillagoe must be looking very green.
Well 10mm here this morning rounds out 2022 with 4760mm a bit above average but it didn't really feel like a wet year.
So what is in store for us in '23 ? will we get a blow ? Best wishes weather friends for a happy and safe new year.
Cheers

Happy new year all, 3552mm for 2022 for me in the bamboo valley. Only early stages yet but looks like bunyip will beat Tully by a fairly large margin and possibly Babinda as well the golden gum boot could unofficially be headed north to the mighty daintree stay tuned Edited by user Monday, 2 January 2023 8:17:05 AM(UTC)

Hello everyone, I hope you all have a fantastic 2023 and wet season. In White Rock we had 2435mm in 2022 and 284 in December. Only a few short, sharp, heavy showers around so far this year. I think we should improve on that in the next few days. Regards.
YTD: 13.5mm

Rather wet end to the year here as El Arish scored pretty big in comparison to most other places even Tully didnt get the real heavy stuff we did..something like 600mm for the xmas event.. ...
Looks like Bunyip gets to wear the gumboot ....Yasi-shak on the other side of the hill near El Arish recorded 4734mm for the year..

Great totals everyone.
Chillagoe grand total for the year is roughly 1,151mm. 😊😊
I'm pretty happy with that. Best rains we've had in years.

Been missing most of these showers and storms here in Gordonvale, Big rain at Atherton, Babinda etc, but bugger all here. around 200mm for Dec, only 9mm so far for Jan. Looks like inland should get some more decent falls the next couple of days which is good . |
Records for 2022: 1520mm 2023: 2710mm 2024: 1884mm (no records April-Sept) |
