None of the other forums worked for me. I get email notifications, the link takes me to the last unread post. If you're in the index, look to the far right of the title. There's an arrow and two page icons. Try clicking those.

MB as 28 says the little icon at the far right will take you to the last new post in that thread.
And yes a few more people would be nice, seems like it's just a few of us old WZ refugees here talking to ourselves haha
Cheers

Cheers I'm just glad to have a space where I can talk to people in my region, even though my climate is a bit different to most of you. Thank goodness we've got the few we have. I do miss some of the old WZers though. Maybe I should go hunting for some of them on the other forums again...😁 although I contacted everyone I recognised.

Having the time to explore & tap things to find out what they do helps. I only figured out that navigation thing recently myself. I was on twitter 2 years before I realised there were "notifications"...lol.

Sorry to compare, but as an example, the only other forum I use offers: Moments ago Today, & time Yesterday, & time Then states date & time. If a posts states: 3 years ago, we can't tell what month or time of year it was. Even say 2 or 3 days ago, I start trying to calculate, but can't. Really appreciate you building and maintaining this forum. I spend a lot of time online and it's great place to communicate with people in my own region about the weather. Cheers, J.

Hi everyone, Apologies for the slow reply. I have been away sunning my self and now have a lovely Pommie (red) tan. I will have a play this morning and see what I can do. It may slightly change the look of the forum by changing other things, but I will see what options there are. I will keep you posted.

Hi Paul and Bunyip
I recently discovered if I hover over the time posted that it displays the full time including seconds -- IF I am using my computer. Thanks Paul.
It would be great if this could be changed on mobile too, since that's where I do most of my reading these days.

FEEDBACK and possible fix?
I discovered the way to do selected quotes some time back now, on computer (not on phone). But it doesn't always work. I often get:
QUOTE: Forum Error There has been a serious error loading the forum. No further information is available. Please contact the administrator if this message persists.
Note If you are the administrator, and need help with this problem, then Turn off CustomErrors in your web.config. TRY AGAIN -UNQUOTE.
Sometimes it can depend on how I selected & highlight before clicking on the black button. This morning I couldn't get it to work at all.
Can you check this out please. I like to use it a lot.
Thanks Paul.
cheers, Julie

Hi Paul 28degrees here. Had to create a new account to talk to you. Account wasn't working properly. Logged out, logged in, tried a different browser. Looked thru the website to see if there was any other way of contacting you, but seemed not, hence this new account. Hadn't had any notifications of new posts in several days. Finally received one yesterday for a post by Weary in this thread here. But Weary's post did not display - landed at the first page start of the thread. Tried again today. No change. Checking through my usual FNQ 2023 Dry Season thread, I realised I'd missed notifications. Then I found the thank button refused to work. Tried to find Weary's last post, but clicking on his name, then any of the drop down options took me to the forum index on each option. I don't think he's posted since 11 August. Then - I composed a post here, with screenshots, to let you know. The screenshot would not load, it got stuck on the red note saying wait til the dialog box closed. Tried a new post with no images. Can't remember now whether I managed to get it posted or whether I left it. It's now much later in the day. Even in this new account I cannot see Weary's post. I've realised that somehow I managed to Thank 2 people at the bottom of Page 6. But nothing on Page 7. Could you please look into my original account 28degrees please. Thanks Paul Cheers, Julie EDIT: Not sure whether I managed to validate the email address for this new account. Clicked on it, but it stayed showing the number. I had too many WF tabs open and missed it til later. EDIT 2: Just checked my original account again. Seems you might've fixed it. I can Thank, and as you can see I've managed to post. Fingers crossed. Edited by user Tuesday, 22 August 2023 6:01:33 PM(UTC)
