2.5mm here in the last 2 days. That's a grand total of 3.5 for the month so far. Still got a way to go to get to the 81mm average for NOV. The lawn is still crispy underfoot.
YTD: 2180mm

Nice to get a half inch a day there Bunyip...not so down here with just 1.5mm in the past 2 days..
If we dont get under a storm next week it could be a record low month.

3mm this morning in the gauge. Rain on and off all night from about 5.30pm.
Cooler day today. Cooled considerably early evening. Looked at the temperature 30°C...lol.
Beautiful evenings now. Soft breeze from east.
Couple fires out near Mungana, started around midday. At least the Irvinebank fires are finished, no more smoke.

Would've had a decent drop this afternoon. Continual rain since it started just after midday. Haven't been out to check the gauge, didn't want to get wet. Seems to have eased off a bit right now. That long band of rain is just about past us. Hope some more turns up overnight, but everything has had a pretty good drink already.

Ok Ok now you are just skiting, 28.. Though it certainly did look good on the radar yesterday arvo west of the ranges..nice to see some falls in the inland areas...petered out towards the coast though with just 3mm here which seems to be the story of this event, except for Bunyip..

Sorry Scott but another 16mm here this morning :) So good not having to water this week, been out and given everything a hit with trace elements.
Glad you got some rain 28, hopefully now that we have had a start it will be a good season with regular storms from here on in.
Cheers

Pretty good storm earlier this evening. 9mm so far. Fair bit of good lightning and loud thunder.
More rain starting again, constant low thunder rolls. Occasional lightning.

22mm last night from the first real storm of the season. ..topic of conversation on a Tully FB page was a particular crack of thunder which even we heard up this way before we actually got any rain..apparently it was such a window rattler it set off the boom gates on the railway crossing going into Tully..
Looks like back to hot and dryish for the next 10 days ahead with a low off the coast after that on the BOM access charts....to be taken with a grain of salt at this stage of course..

Still dry as a bone here in the Cairns area. Maybe a few distant flashes and faint rumbles last night. It's looking a bit more promising today. YTD: 2191.5mm Not much happened. Edited by user Tuesday, 28 November 2023 11:43:03 PM(UTC)

Another 10mm last night from the edge of a storm....
What a blessing to get 51mm this week and get a repreive from hose watering...
It looks like not much in the week ahead though except filthy hot weather...
So I guess i'll also be back to hose dragging soon too if there is no follow up rain..
Might have to get out the reef while I can too..
It must be getting pretty brown up Cairns way is it SM..?

Certainly is very dry here Scott. By the look of things we're only going to get 15mm for NOV. The 3mm in 2019 was the only one drier than that. That blob on the radar south of Gordonvale looks promising though. YTD: 2191.5mm 1.5mm out of that red blob. Looks like 16.5mm for November. Edited by user Wednesday, 29 November 2023 3:06:05 PM(UTC)

Back on the hoses here :( Storms look good out the back but they are not going to make the coast.
Cheers
