135mm over here this morning, Nice wet day yesterday so got busy in the kitchen and put up a wall of new lining boards, Just need a dry day so can clear coat them now. Had the pot belly burning and did a nice stew on the top so that should last a few days with the wet to come..
Re the MJO , it's just one of many part that make up our wet season, I like to keep an eye on it. It has dropped in strength and staled just out of our area, interesting to see how this monsoon behaves.
Cheers

Steady 75mm here overnight much prefer rain like that Than the 200mm plus days which cause damage around my place.
Looks like Innisfail is currently copping it atm |

83mm last night, these steady overnight falls are much better for soil moisture etc. Ground was hard and dry here after all that rain from Jasper basically all ran off. *It seems that there's a lot of disagreement between models regarding any lows at the moment, interesting 10 days or so watching the daily changes I guess. 38mm in the gauge this morning. Most of that would've been late yesterday afternoon too. It poured down for ages, enough to clean the car LOL. Been drizzling all morning. Temperature a pleasant 26.5degreesC. YTD: 122.0mm Edited by user Monday, 15 January 2024 10:22:52 AM(UTC)

looks like the cairns mob are having a good run here starting to overtake me.
Saw that blob on the radar bunyip that gave you the 66mm big yellow thought you woulda copped that one.
Met a guy today who lives in the upper whyanbeel valley recorded over 6300mm last year almost gave bunyip a run for his money |

It's good to see some blue sky this morning. 23mm in the gauge, mainly from good showers around lunchtime yesterday.
There's a bit of talk about a cyclone in the Coral Sea in the next week. See what happens there.

115mm this morning, these arvo storms and showers are just lovely, proper wet season stuff.
GT , I thought you would of had more than 53mm, the yellow was on your side of the Dagmar and lots of rumbles from there around 18:20 yet here I was out with just spits after the stuff earlier around 17:00 that saw 75mm very quickly..
Another glorious morning here :)
Cheers
