Had a quick dash out to the gauge and it's heading up towards 80mm. Edit at 2030: Pouring down at the moment. Last check of the gauge for the night and about 120mm so far. Amazing radar for Cairns. Yeah Scott, they jump around a lot 10+ but the interesting thing about that one is it was saying the same thing last week when it was 15+ days out so something is brewing, it's just what?? I would expect at least 1 more active phase in our season, if not more.. Cheers

Meanwhile we finally have a clear moonlit night down here.. still plenty of time Bunyip...Anthony violi certainly seems to have some ominous thoughts for the rest of the wet season... and interesting observations about this seasons stationary systems and slow moving storms which have been wreaking so much flood related havoc..his take is future cyclones may be more organised in comparison to Jasper and Kirrily..
