Werry I don't doubt the differences between the 2 gauges in Kans, They would be what 15km apart? and the area surrounding each is different.

They are both at the airport, less than a kilometre apart, one is at the BOM office weather station, the other is a flood gauge on the Barron at the northern end of the runway.

That sounds like quite an adventure Bunyip. Good rain in your area again. 8.5mm here overnight, fine weather today with a nice breeze.

Edit: News on WZ. BOM declares El Nino over.

I'm sorry I was thinking about the race coarse gauge. Did not realise that there were 2 at the airport Blink

Only 3mm this morning

Cheers

Just 2.5mm here this morning. Predictions of a slow moving trough coming in with isolated heavy falls north of Ingham tomorrow. The radar looks promising at the moment.

WOW, you're right.
The weather out here is definitely dry season, and I forget to to look at the weather through the day. LOL.

Picked up another 92mm this morning from another wet night.
Even the dog was not in a hurry to go for our walk/run this morning & wanted a warm shower
when we got home. :)

It just keeps falling, can't move and fences need attention again from the flood Tuesday.
I'm starting to wonder just what this winter is going to look like.

Cheers

30mm is the past 2 days..definately a drying trend down here with plenty of sunny periods each day now...

Geez Bunyip you arent far off 6000mm since about dec 12th or whenever the rains started...almost 1.5m per month...Blink

No wonder its a tad wet underfoot mate..!

SM, What have you measured since that mid december start of the deluge..?

We've had 3418mm since the beginning of the Jasper deluge Scott. That's unusual for White Rock as the annual average since 2011 is about 2200.

I notice on the radar another blob moving in towards the Daintree area.

Away for the day.

Nothing in the gauge when I got home although it was kind of rain in the air but not raining...

But for a few kms halfway between Almaden and home, it must have really dumped because the long grass had been flattened.

Thankfully that blob stayed mostly offshore and we only picked up 27mm this morning :)
But it is still showering and very moist drippy sort of morning.

Yeah Scott the numbers are crazy, everyone is running out of grass, it's just so wet and gray
most days nothing is growing properly, and the cool is just starting so that will slow things
down even more. My beans are all very pale and the leaves look waterlogged.

Cheers

Well, that was nice. Had a rain cell hover for a bit last night with some very light rain.

About 9pm it dropped 5mm on us.

A nice surprise and a lovely fresh morning. And the grass will grow again. 😁😁

I feel for you all on the coast, wishing it was dry.

I almost forgot to (double)check & empty this morning. We had a short quick shower yesterday evening just before 5pm, out of nowhere.

2mm
