5mm this morning. Unexciting day. Ten past 7pm, surrounded by rain, but not over us. Although, as I tap this out, it seems to be trying.

The rain seems to be sitting over our area at the moment. Had a quick dash out to the gauge and it's heading up towards 80mm. Edit at 2030: Pouring down at the moment. Last check of the gauge for the night and about 120mm so far. Amazing radar for Cairns. Edited by user Saturday, 17 February 2024 8:43:25 PM(UTC)

185mm for the past week plus another 101mm overnight...
a pretty tame wet season for Tully area so far with all the carnage to the north and south...

Ended up with 154mm this morning. That made the monthly total look a bit more respectable. A good way to go to get to the average of 459.

That's an interesting forecast Scott. I think the monthly average will be the least of our worries if that happens.

Reminds me, weve been moving into our new house, I gotta go back and grab the nylex off the fence lol. I don't have a fence to stick it on yet, I also have some sort of weather station to set up when I get time. |

That was a good fall for you SM ..
21mm here this morning ..
Yeah Scott, they jump around a lot 10+ but the interesting thing about that one is it was saying the same thing last week when it was 15+ days out so something is brewing, it's just what?? I would expect at least 1 more active phase in our season, if not more..
Cheers

Looks like you are still right in the middle of the blob sitting over you right there 28... Meanwhile we finally have a clear moonlit night down here.. still plenty of time Bunyip...Anthony violi certainly seems to have some ominous thoughts for the rest of the wet season... and interesting observations about this seasons stationary systems and slow moving storms which have been wreaking so much flood related havoc..his take is future cyclones may be more organised in comparison to Jasper and Kirrily..
