England v France to be cancelled as Japan braces for 'super typhoonTokyo: World Rugby is on Thursday expected to announce the cancellation of England's blockbuster final pool game against France as Typhoon Hagibis bears down on the Asian archipelago. However, Scotland's decider against Japan, which will determine which teams in Pool A progress to the World Cup quarter-finals, is expected to go ahead in the same city 24 hours later, an England source has told the Herald. https://www.brisbanetime...oon-20191010-p52z9l.html

Here's a few wave shots I captured earlier today with buddy James Reynolds south of Shimoda on the Izu Peninsula of Honshu, Japan. Storm should come ashore in the vicinity of here during tomorrow afternoon in very much a weakening mode. |

Great animation PabloAko. Can I ask for technical details of how you added the background?

Ooo. Trade secrets there SatMan, but sure! In summary I do not have a fancy receiver, I just have a Powershell script that downloads the infrared images from Japan. This is just white clouds on a black background. I then have the background globe that I merge the cloud image on top of using Balck as a transparent. I will send you the scripts and background files in a PM. The images are time-lapse are at https://www.oceanviewweather.com.au/Satellite/This is the latest IR image. Great stuff Orebound. Fingers crossed there isn't too much damaged although news clips don't look too great.

Thanks. Most of the damage and sadly deaths were as a result of significant flash flooding caused by the copious amounts of rain this system delivered in a short space of time. I'm aware of one station to the north of where we were that recorded 922mm in 24 hours as an example. DEATH TOLL RISES TO 72Edited by user Wednesday, 16 October 2019 8:43:04 AM(UTC)
