In summary I do not have a fancy receiver, I just have a Powershell script that downloads the infrared images from Japan. This is just white clouds on a black background. I then have the background globe that I merge the cloud image on top of using Balck as a transparent. I will send you the scripts and background files in a PM. Most of the damage and sadly deaths were as a result of significant flash flooding caused by the copious amounts of rain this system delivered in a short space of time. I'm aware of one station to the north of where we were that recorded 922mm in 24 hours as an example.
