Did it just lose signal through the most torrential part of the downpour and how long did it last and is there a rebooting period or does it just suddenly re-appear once the rain backs off...?

It only lost signal in the heaviest part of the rain - it's something other people complain about, but it hardly ever happens for us.

It usually comes back pretty fast (just reappears) depending on the reason. The rain had it off for about 20 seconds. As long as Dishy doesn't actually lose power it dosn't need to reboot - the inconvenience is normally how long the phone or computer take to reconnect.

We don't get NBN out this side of the highway, but I don't think i would go back to it anyway. Starlink is really reliable and pretty idiot proof.
