Just a lot of tantalising virga yesterday, no actual rain so far for Hollywell. Today it looks like we might at least get some drizzle (not holding my breath for anything beyond that).

Thank you for the invite Paul, this is my first post. We had 9.5mm total here on the west end of Warwick. This is our first measurable rain of the winter season. Now the big dry sets in for awhile. We might be around 29C in a weeks time! Also, a bit off topic, looks like Dorian will be making headlines over the next 4-5 days as she becomes a major hurricane and strikes, where else, Florida. Could be similar to Hurricane Jeanne back in 2004. Same type of setup. Again, great site is www.myfoxhurricane.com. Cheers.

Cheers. Oh Hi'warwick',so glad to see you posting here. Things have certainly been a mishmash as the refugees scattered. I tell myself life changes,,adapt Nice to login and have something to read.. Love your web cam 'pab'Thanks..we had 5mm during a clap of thundsr yesterday arvo'.,That makes the total to 10mm for this trough to date. The skies outside could be called a troughy meas atm. A tad of virga around and dew point has dropped back to low teens'. ACC r has the tropical, isobar dip moving off shore by tomorrow morning with all that lovely coral moisture stream. ACCESS has taken the precip' signal away for tomorrow however its edge just sits on the coastline so l expect that's why the chances of showers on the radio forecast l assume. and yeah. Absolutely no precip' signal for our area for the next 5 days from ACC g from friday. Eyes on NZ later though as all that lovely moisture in the coral and Tasman heads to NZ . The current Acc g forecast looks spectacular around the 3rd septemberatm. http://www.bom.gov.au/au...harts/viewer/index.shtml

Hi WarwichEye2Sky, It is great to see your name arrive here and I am super happy to hear that you have finally received some rain out in you part of the region. Also, thanks for the heads up on Dorian, I will go and take a look. Enjoyed your posts on WZ, and I look forward to reading more!

You can see it coming out of clouds if the lighting is correct and then it just vanishes. So close, yet so far. Unlike down here... It belted down today.

Today's dribble of rain of 1.2mm bring me up to a total of 2.8mm up here in Ocean View. Bleeding cold day though and a maximum of 16.3 degrees. The fire is on and the cat is almost burning her fur and asleep in front of it.

Overcast all day and some drizzle. 0.2 mm today, and is double yesterday's rainfall! I thought we might do better today, and I hope the pattern change soon. I certainly not looking forward to hot and dry as it appears to be looking.
Between 9 and 10 am the temperature fell and rose quite quickly in the late morning (19.7 C at 11:25 am to 21.3 C at 11:34 am) to the maximum temperature before immediately falling to 19.6 C at 12:15 pm (with a small drop in dew point). And then until 4:15 pm the temperature was stable. |

No more rain overnight here, but 2.4mm in total this week and a chance of a shower today to top it off. Spring is only just around the corner too.

I notice on our resident observers notes the dew points have dropped again to 11 -13 deg c. No humidity in the air today. Thanks for the temp forecast naranga' saves me looking elsewhere . Some higher temps will be noticeable. On to the spring summer wardrobe. Some convective onshore showers atm at 3pm. On the radar they look quite localized for the tweed coast and hinterland. Temps only 19.9 here at tweed atm http://www.bom.gov.au/pr...s/IDR503.loop.shtml#skipWeak poorly defined high pressure over the east coast tomorrow , sunday and monday. Perhaps a few days staling allowing the land temp' to rise with no cloud?

Hi all. Went for a drive to the big city today, something I detest with a passion, driving next to Wivenhoe I noticed stuff starting to poke through the water surface. Sure enough, water capacity at W. is close to 50% checking the website. I suspect water rationing not too far away? Nothing much on offer in next few months or so I wonder what the water capacity be around Christmas?

Nothing much on offer in next few months or so I wonder what the water capacity be around Christmas? Geee. That reminds me of the "target 140" days, where the government posted out egg timers for 3 minute showers and we all drove around with dirty cars. Dob in a neighbor started and subsidised rain water tanks pushed the price of them up through the roof. Edited by user Saturday, 31 August 2019 7:44:38 AM(UTC)
