Yeah Scott, that mayfair development was a con from the get go , someone has made killing and moved on..
But it can't happen over here, most of it has been brought back or locked up. But we do need some more development over here, or just close it and tell them there is nothing to see here.
Must say it's been nice this year without the tourist , now it looks like we will have a crazy busy xmas season Not looking forward to tourist whining about the heat and rain. Hope it's very wet. haha.. Teach them to come out of season...
A few small storm cells around this morning. absolutely beautiful rain.. Great weather for my MRS to sleep after night shift. :)
Some talk of a monsoon , gee that would be nice.

G'day all,
Had some rain and thunder Thursday night, kind of like a switch was flicked as opposed to the last few months of bugger all. 16.6mm Thursday night and a further 6.4mm to 9am this morning. Grass has been decrispified lol.
Yeah, DU I'm certainly with you on the demise of the weatherzone forum, apart from the few pathetic trolls that also infiltrated every other forum that popped up thereafter. This is the only one where they haven't seemed to have surfaced, not that I've been on here much anyways. Life is too busy these days. |

Storms rolled in and around most of the day yesterday , ended up with 29mm this morning :)
Everything looks greener already :) Should give the grass a hurry up

Had showers blowing through most of the day must be about 20 more out there.

Another 22.8mm on Saturday night was lovely to listen to after gorging on a 10hr smoked brisket with a few dozen beers.Got a few nice KP mangos coming along as well, hope they are ready by xmas. |

No smoked brisket here unfortunately,just a woolies pre cooked chicken and 3 beers for dinner last night..  Boat all ready and got up at 4am but seabreeze forecast had doubled from 7-8 knots to 15 and i could hear and feel a good breeze in our sheltered location so i went back to bed ...Looking at AIMS real time weather now its only showing 10 or so knots out at the reef all today so far....Bugga we should have went..! Time to get out the rain gauge and put it up...you northern dwellers certainly got a nice wet start to summer Bunyip..down here we just got enough to hatch out all the weed seeds.. Hopefully some storms coming before too long..the only real one so far was when night fishing at Hinchinbrook a few weeks ago...it was pretty fierce with lightning and heavy squally rain and we had to move out from against the mangroves to anchor in open water, put the clears on and just slept it out...that bloody Mt Bowen and associated mountain range just creates it own weather..its quite incredible.. 28 is MIA huh.?

Brisket sounds great Ron, Actually had a Brisket burger @ the BBQ shop in kans today. Yummo
Yeah it came at just the right time Scott, grass/feed was getting short and very dry for here,
Funny this year as Mossman town has had a few more showers than me over here, even this morning there
was a good shower/rain early as the drains were full as I went south.
Move a water tank to make room for a new boat shed, so have now set up temp plumbing so I can
fill this one than drain and move the others. Just need the next rain day to come.
Hoping 28 is well and all ok.

Looks like a bit of activity starting to happen East of Vanuatu, Looks like twin systems, one with the potential to gobble the other one up.

Its definitely getting a monsoonal feel about it..

I think the MT is about to link up from TC Yasa to the lows above the N.T, and the one below Indo.
The humidity and DP just before dark last night was quite oppressive. Ceiling fan and desk fan to move some air.

Quite agree Hickory it was very steamy till late.
MT is looking good too fill in the gaps, with lots of moist flow.
Bring it on, looking forward to some good wet stuff.

Glad your back with us 28, was a little worried, and missing your storm going around you reports.
You must of got a bit of rain from one of them by now ?
Still hot and sticky down here on the coast.
All the media beat up about an early season and a big wet has produced SFA for most of Oz
the Kimberly being the exception with some great rains so far without a cyclone.
Hoping it's a wet Christmas for us all.

My email notifications seem to be working again, thankfully. Couldn't believe I'd missed so many posts.
November - 11mm
December - 70mm so far
Only a couple of storms, but overcast a lot of the time, and nice wet rain. Nothing for the last 2 days though.
