Feels like rain, nil predicted. I'd be happy with the breeze from a passing storm.

Haven't been down for a few weeks ... oops, it's months. Mid September was the last time (on checking my pics).

Interestingly, it's the first time I've seen seepage in the bank again for at least 6 or 7 years. Hordes of flying foxes then, branches and leaves broken and lying everywhere.

11 years ago when I first moved out here it always had fresh coming in. The banks were always sodden, and you needed to be careful you didn't slip in places. It must've been 2013-14-ish when the creek dried up, apparently for the first time in 30 years or 60 years depending on who you talked to. Then the seepage stopped. We'd get a miserly "wet" season, and the creek dried up every year. I think 2021 is the first Dry Season in years that the creek has not dried up. Thank goodness.

We're still on level 3 water restrictions, since 2017. The council finally found another water source, four or five km further out. Everything is complete - except for power. Ergon can't connect it until January or February. When that's finally connected and the town is using that water, the local water table should start replenishing itself.

Did you catch the moonrise? Not the best of images, zoomed on my phonecam.

Well didn't expect it to hang around yesterday, Really got a few good showers after about 10:30
and ended up with 42mm in the gauge.
The creek had stopped flowing , but is running again Just, so very nice surprise.

Some rain would be nice. The few odd evening showers have done little. Fairly decent showers, but they are gone in 5 mins.

The temps in Darwin over the last 3 or 4 days have been surprisingly low,- both max.& mins.

Max temps of 28.5°, 27.3° & 27.6° so far today. Mins of 24°, 23.1° & 24.9°.
They're getting half decent rain, which is keeping the temps down. A bit of the same here would be nice.

Yeah Scott The heat seems just that little bit harder to deal with each year.
Rain would be nice.

A very light sprinkle late yesterday arvo will only serve to make it morn humid today :)
